Pakistan faces key challenges of high illiteracy, poor school education, ghost schools, and an extremely high number of school-aged children who do not attend schools. The problem statement addressed by us is to facilitate such out of school students in getting another chance to receive their education, while also allowing the already school going children to resolve serious issues in comprehension of the course contents by providing them with personalized learning material.
Our proposed product, iParhai, is an e-learning platform. The proposed product promotes online education through adaptive and adaptable learning. Adaptive learning implies that an AI based content recommendation engine is used, which will deliver contents according to the level of the individual learner. Whereas, adaptable learning will facilitate delivery of right contents through the implicitly preferred mode of content delivery. This engine will be integrated with a mobile and web based e-learning platform for enhanced learning. By using adaptive and adaptable learning concepts,iParhai is aimed to provide enhanced comprehension to the learners.
There are many potential customers. Schools who would like to strengthen their online education platform can utilize our product for enhanced learning. They can also utilize our product to add learning contents, which are tailored to their needs. Parents who face challenges in ensuring learning for their children, can utilize our product for strengthening online education. Our product is also useful for young children who are unable to attend school. They can learn contents and take assessments solely through the mobile or web interface - thereby utilizing adaptive and adaptable learning to acquire education.
Existing platforms for online education are not focused on delivering personalized contents. Therefore, their efficacy remains limited as a learner is unable to completely grasp the contents. iParhai addresses this significant need of delivering personalized content through adaptive & adaptable learning. The process is iterative and is expected to continuously improve the process of learning through automation & intelligence.

Further, schools and parents can provide feedback directly to us, which will be incorporated in the product

We are utilizing this fund in order to develop the initial prototype. We have utilized this fund to set up a lab and hire the core team.
For the prototype development, initial funding for this product (for approx. 13 million PKR) has been granted through NCAI research fund. The prototype is being developed for grade-2 Mathematics. Curriculum for other classes will be incorporated in due course of time. Once the product is launched, we will have a subscription based model in which revenue will be generated through subscriptions. We are targeting schools as our prime customers. They can subscribe to our product to promote enhanced learning through online education. In addition, individuals can also subscribe to iParhai in order to supplement their school education. Bulk subscriptions can also be provided to governmental bodies and NGOs in order to promote education for less-privileged children who don't have access to school education. Our value proposition will be an effective e-learning platform through which school-aged children can meet their education needs. The platform will have a capacity to meet targets of other classes and different countries.
We have acquired seed fund through NCAI to develop a prototype system, which will utilize AI- based adaptive and adaptable learning. During this phase, we are developing a mobile application as well as a web-based interface for users of iParhai. We are also going to acquire initial dataset through different user bases and trials. This will be incorporated to develop the initial prototype. Once the prototype is developed, we will launch the product and market and commercialize it to different users and organizations. The dataset will be continuously populated by expanding the user base. This will improve the robustness and efficacy of the product. Our pilot marketing strategy will consist of demonstrations in different schools, governmental bodies, NGOs, and other commercial partners. We will actively use social media platforms in order to reach a larger population. The product can also be adopted internationally, where online education is used as a supplement/replacement of physical education.
